Kids Skill Levels
We have created a list of athletic skill levels.
The levels are designed to provide a general fitness perspective, to help set appropriate goals and to allow focused work on weaker areas.
When one of the tasks on our list has been completed, a coach will initial it for the athlete in their log book.
The testing will help athletes develop new strengths and skills, help set goals, help measure progress and development and as an incentive to learn/improve weak areas. The athletic skill levels make goal-setting more efficient and allow athletes to evaluate progress through the levels of fitness.
The levels will test the ten components of fitness which are: endurance, strength, stamina, flexibility, coordination, agility, balance, accuracy, power and speed.
Bracelets (and eventually T-shirts) will be rewarded once the athlete successfully completes all of the required skills in the level. The bracelets recognize improvement in CrossFit technique and they indicate progress.
The colour of the bracelet will indicate when an athlete has been promoted to the next level.
The Kids levels are:
- Level 1 – Grey
- Level 2 – White
- Level 3 – Yellow
- Level 4 – Orange
- Level 5 – Green
- Level 6 – Blue
